GarageBand is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that revolutionized music recording with its iPad introduction in 2011. In our iPad GarageBand module, students will dive into the basics, covering Application of Loops, Playing Virtual Instruments, Editing Tools, Song Structure Studies, Mixing, and iPad Ensemble Playing. Each student will be provided with an iPad (Version iOS 7 & up) for all lessons. By the module's end, students will apply their knowledge to arrange and record a simple tune. In the final session, students will form their own virtual band, connecting up to 5 iPads to the sound system using a jamhub, allowing them to put on a performance.
