Standard Programme

Ethnic PERCUSSION

Different cultures have their own unique variety of percussive instruments. Students will be exposed to the different culture's style of music, and types of instruments. In this Ethnic Percussion Module, Students will learn the basics of the different instruments such as Identifying & Naming The Instruments, Basic Percussion Theory, Playing Techniques, Rhythm Application & Exposure, Notation Reading, Rhythm Improvisation and Drum Circle Ensemble Playing. Each student will be assigned a different ethnic percussion. By the end of the module, students will be able to play as an ensemble and put up a stage performance.
